Job Description

You will join the development and production management team within the Computer and Scientific Laboratory of CEA/Genoscope, whose main activity is to develop and maintain applications enabling traceability and imputation of Genoscope’s production activities in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

Within the targeted SEQ-Sea project, which performs sequencing of ATLASea samples and ensures the assembly and initial annotation of genes, you will have the following missions:

Develop and implement interoperable solutions to query and integrate project data and metadata with information systems that will be implemented as part of the ATLASea project. You will also need to develop an API within the existing LIMS to track the project from sampling to produced genomic data.

Candidate Profile

The expected skills are as follows:

  • Back end: experience in object-oriented development (Java).
  • Front end: good knowledge of web technologies: HTML5, CSS (Bootstrap), Javascript (AngularJS), HTTP.
  • Mastery of the design and optimization of relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as GIT and an integrated development environment (IDE).
  • Willingness to work using Agile methods.
  • Good level of English.

Recommended experiences include:

  • Proven experience in REST API development (RESTful design principles, documentation tools, API security…)
  • You must have a Bac+5 level of education: Master 2 or Engineering degree.

Minimum 2 years of experience as a developer is necessary.
