Job Description
You will join the development and production management team within the Computer and Scientific Laboratory of CEA/Genoscope, whose main activity is to develop and maintain applications enabling traceability and imputation of Genoscope’s production activities in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Within the SEQ-Sea project, which performs sequencing of ATLASea samples and ensures the assembly and initial annotation of genes, you will have the following missions:
Design, develop, and implement solutions for the traceability of assembly and annotation results and data within the existing LIMS. You will also need to design automatic data availability in public databases such as the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA).
You will play a crucial role in the organization, management, and provision of genomic data.

Candidate Profile
The expected skills are as follows:
- Back end: experience in object-oriented development (Java).
- Front end: good knowledge of web technologies: HTML5, CSS (Bootstrap), Javascript (AngularJS), HTTP.
- Mastery of the design and optimization of relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
- Knowledge of genomic data, assembly, and annotation would be a plus.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as GIT and an integrated development environment (IDE).
- Willingness to work using Agile methods.
- Proficiency in English.
Recommended experiences include:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a developer.
- Proven experience in REST API development (RESTful design principles, documentation tools, API security…)
- Desired experience in workflow automation and orchestration.
You must have a Bac+5 level of education: Master 2 or Engineering degree.
