Regulatory Compliance, Ethics & Best Practice Statement

ATLASea programme partners are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, licenses, authorizations, permits, and regulations (at both national and international levels) relating to the acquisition, transfer, storage, use, destruction, and disposal (where applicable) of the samples or specimens they collect, and for providing documentary evidence of such compliance to the ATLASea Regulatory Compliance Committee.

For all these activities, ATLASea partners must implement the ATLASea Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which shall include details of the relevant regulatory and ethical requirements. Collaborators who are not employed by one of the ATLASea partners (see governance structure) must inform their legal representatives, who will be required to certify that the conditions set out in the “Declaration of Regulatory, Ethical Compliance and Good Practices” will be met, in particular those specified above.

The standards described in this document must be maintained throughout the transfer of samples or specimens to and from ATLASea team partners and any other collaborators.
